The Sumter School District Board of Trustees is prepared to move forward with the next phase of the Superintendent search process.

Following the completion of the first round of interviews, the Board has identified and selected the three most qualified finalists. This decision reflects careful deliberation, thoughtful evaluation, and a shared commitment among the members of our Board to securing strong leadership for the District.

The Board remains firmly committed to transparency and keeping the public informed as this process continues. As part of the next phase, finalist interviews and community engagement opportunities, commonly referred to as a "Day in the District," have been scheduled for March 2, 3, and 4, providing stakeholders an opportunity to engage with each finalist and offer input.

Our collective focus remains on selecting a Superintendent who is capable, prepared, and a visionary leader who can lead the Sumter School District forward and fully realize its potential to become a premier school district. The Board takes this responsibility seriously and will continue to act in the best interest of our students, staff, families, and community.
